wild pigment series
It is fascinating how everything that exists on this planet, comes from the earth. My curiosity about wild pigments was ignited when I moved to the PNW, and discovered how rich this diverse landscape is with wild pigment, including colors unique to Oregon, such as Vivianite. This series was created using pigments I found here in Oregon. I decided to paint trees that represented the same biospheres from where the pigments and binders were collected.
